The poem REACHING OUT TO THE HEAVENS by Felix Philipp Ingold is the starting point for an exploration into rhythm - rhythm as a component of movement/dance, sound/music and visual element/light. The meter of the poem is juxtaposed with a 5/4 time signature of the choreography and explores the correlation of the tempo of the heart beat with the measurement unit of the second. Parallel with the live performance a video element dublicates the dance and reveals the danced patterns and forms through traces of light in space.
